Training Mentors

The role of the Training Mentor is to mentor crew in their workplace training within BSK social enterprises, to enable and encourage people with learning disabilities and/or autism to thrive in their workplace training so they can maximise their potential and develop their skills.

We have the following vacancies:

· A full-time Training Mentor to work in our Print Works that provides graphic design, sublimation and vinyl printing services. We are looking for candidates with an interest in art or design, great technical skills, confidence to operate machinery, a creative mindset and a good eye for detail, who would be confident to train and mentor adults with learning disabilities and autism. Core hours 0830-1600.

· A full-time Training Mentor to work in Beresford Street Kitchen cafe, La Hougue Bie Tea Rooms and our Catering Workshop. We are looking for candidates who would be confident to mentor adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in the cafés and kitchens, whilst carrying out hands on operational tasks to include customer service, basic food and drink preparation, cash handling. Core hours 0800-1530/0830-1600/0900-1630, 5 days a week to include approx. 3 weekend days per month.

· Part-time Training Mentors to work at La Hougue Bie Tea Rooms between 1000-1400, 2-5 days a week. We are looking for candidates who would be confident to mentor adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in the café and kitchen, whilst carrying out hands on operational tasks to include customer service, basic food and drink preparation, cash handling and covering the full time Training Mentor and Chefs’ breaks

· Bank Training Mentors. We are looking for flexible all rounders to work in various social enterprise and event settings, providing ad hoc mentoring for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism

Chefs

The role of the Chef is to produce high quality catering in line with BSK food safety and HACCP procedures within BSK social enterprises and to enable and encourage people with learning disabilities and/or autism to thrive in their workplace training so they can maximise their potential and develop their skills. We have the following vacancies:

· A full-time Chef position based across Beresford Street Kitchen and Catering Workshop, La Hogue Bie Tea Rooms and other locations. Core hours are 0730-1600 and includes one weekend day. We are looking for candidates who would be confident to work in a small team of chefs split over multiple sites on rotation, training and delegating tasks to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and Training Mentors. Chef qualifications and experience required.

· Bank Chefs. We are looking for flexible Chefs to work in various social enterprise and event settings, providing ad hoc chef duties and training for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism

Volunteer

At Beresford Street Kitchen we have a wonderful team of volunteers who work with the crew in the social enterprises and BSK Academy and help with catering events and fundraising. Our volunteers play a vital role in enabling us to provide education, training and employment for people with learning disabilities and/or autism and are a very valued part of the BSK team.
