BSK Supporter Pack
Volunteer
At Beresford Street Kitchen we have a wonderful team of volunteers who work with the crew in BSK Enterprises and BSK Academy. Our volunteers play a vital role in enabling us to provide education, training and employment for people with learning disabilities and/or autism and are a very valued part of the BSK team.
We have the following volunteer roles available:
Front of house at Beresford Street – Busy, physical and sometimes noisy customer facing role in the main café area. Tasks include helping crew:
Taking orders / Counting money / Using the till / Making teas and coffees to order / Waiting tables / Washing dishes
Classrooms – Term time only. Assisting the Learning Team in a weekly Learning for Life class with a group of 5-6 learners
Bank Volunteer – Ad hoc. Varied opportunities are emailed to Bank Volunteer pool on a regular basis. Opportunities to volunteer may include:
Helping at fundraising events / Helping at catering events / Helping occasionally when we have several hundred sandwiches to make!
Fundraising – Ad hoc. Varied opportunities to support our fundraising including raffle ticket selling and administration around events.
Delivery drivers – Ad hoc. We are looking for volunteers who can deliver catering orders mainly in the mornings. This can be a 2-person volunteer role.
