Training Mentor (Full Time)
We are looking for a passionate and supportive Workplace Training Mentor to join our team at BSK. This is a hands-on role where you will mentor and coach people with learning disabilities and autistic people within our social enterprises, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence in a real working environment.
You will support day-to-day operations across our café, catering, print workshop, and events, while monitoring progress and contributing to training programmes. Working closely with the Training Leads and wider team, you’ll play a key role in creating an inclusive, safe, and professional learning environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position (35 hours per week, including Saturdays and occasional evenings).

At Beresford Street Kitchen, our dedicated volunteers are an essential part of the BSK family. They work alongside our crew in both BSK Enterprises and BSK Academy, helping us deliver meaningful education, training, and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people.
Volunteers make a real difference – and we truly value the time, energy, and heart they bring to our community.
Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Front of House in Cafe
A lively, hands-on, customer-facing role in our vibrant café. You’ll be supporting our Crew with:
Taking orders / Handling money and using the till / Making teas and coffees / Waiting tables / Washing dishes
Classrooms
Term time only. Assist our Learning Team in delivering weekly Learning for Life sessions for small groups (5–6 learners). A rewarding way to support personal development and life skills.
Fundraising Support
Get involved in a range of exciting fundraising activities such as:
Selling raffle tickets / Supporting event admin / Helping at or running community events
Delivery Drivers
Ad hoc. Support our catering service by delivering orders across the island — mostly in the mornings. This can be done solo or as a two-person team.
Back Office Support
Ad hoc. Help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. From straight forward admin tasks to more advanced data work, there’s something for every skill set.
Bank Volunteer
Ad hoc. Join our pool of flexible volunteers and receive updates about short-notice opportunities across all volunteer areas.
