The Role

As our Finance Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial systems running smoothly. You’ll ensure our records are accurate and up to date, manage day-to-day transactions, and support the Finance Director with reports and management information that help us plan for a sustainable future.

About You

You’ll bring a methodical and organised approach, excellent attention to detail, confidence working with numbers and financial systems, the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines, and a positive, team-focused attitude and a commitment to supporting our vision.

At Beresford Street Kitchen, our dedicated volunteers are an essential part of the BSK family. They work alongside our crew in both BSK Enterprises and BSK Academy, helping us deliver meaningful education, training, and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people.

Volunteers make a real difference – and we truly value the time, energy, and heart they bring to our community.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Front of House in Cafe
A lively, hands-on, customer-facing role in our vibrant café. You’ll be supporting our Crew with:
Taking orders / Handling money and using the till / Making teas and coffees / Waiting tables / Washing dishes

Classrooms
Term time only. Assist our Learning Team in delivering weekly Learning for Life sessions for small groups (5–6 learners). A rewarding way to support personal development and life skills.

Fundraising Support
Get involved in a range of exciting fundraising activities such as:
Selling raffle tickets / Supporting event admin / Helping at or running community events

Delivery Drivers
Ad hoc. Support our catering service by delivering orders across the island — mostly in the mornings. This can be done solo or as a two-person team.

Back Office Support
Ad hoc. Help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. From straight forward admin tasks to more advanced data work, there’s something for every skill set.

Bank Volunteer
Ad hoc. Join our pool of flexible volunteers and receive updates about short-notice opportunities across all volunteer areas.
